The ThermalPod runs on molten salt, a heat storage medium with decades of industrial use, controlled by software we built ourselves.

Molten salt is an excellent medium for both heat transfer and heat storage, but it hasn't lived up to its full potential: traditional salts are corrosive and only stay liquid at high temperatures, which has limited where they could be used.
We go beyond the state of the art. Saltes developed and validated a new ternary salt mix that is lower-corrosion and has a lower melting point than traditional salts, opening it up to a much wider range of industrial processes. See how we've validated it ↓

Concentrated solar power plants have used molten salt to store the sun's heat for decades, releasing it as steam long after sundown. Saltes adapts that same proven principle to store electricity instead of sunlight, so factories get affordable heat on demand, day or night.

In essence, it's insulated tanks, pumps, and valves, equipment used across the process industry for over a hundred years. What's new is the salt blend and the control software, developed in-house, that matches every charge and discharge cycle to the cheapest available electricity.
Converts low-cost renewable electricity into stored thermal energy, with the option to integrate waste heat already available on your site.
The lower melting point of our salt blend greatly reduces solidification risk, keeping heat ready to release on demand.
Delivers steam, thermal oil, or hot air straight into your existing heat infrastructure.
