Commissioning Parabolic Trough Test Facility with Molten Salt as Heat Carrier

On behalf of YARA International, we developed a molten salt production unit. Yara is part of a project group (together with DLR, TSK Flagsol, Rioglass, Steinmüller Engineering, eltherm, and RWE) that uses the installation for their joint project in Portugal.

In October 2021, our installation produced 55,000 liters of molten salt in Évora, Portugal. The project partners have since started up the test facility using the salt produced by our installation.
